AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND SUPERVISION AS CHIEF SEISMOLOGIST/ACQUISITION GEOPHYSICIST
• Formulate Crew’s technical operations.
• Responsible for Subsurface survey modelling, designing and planning.
• Ensure the quality of service is in accordance with contractual obligations, relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements in accordance with the law of the land.
• Monitor and collate both incoming and outgoing reports as they relate to Clients and crew management.
• Supervise up-hole survey acquisition, processing and interpretation.
• Ensure an individual performance evaluation as it relates to Quality Control section.
• Assist in preparation of crew’s financial budget in accordance with the planned activities and proposed revisions.
• Monitor and participate in onsite processing to check geometry and to produce the daily linear LMO for each recorded shot and get the brute stack section ready for finished swath.
• Process and compile the monthly instrument test results.
• Responsible for the various dispatches including all field tapes and final data acquired to the Client.
• Control and Supervise explosives handling, usage and reconciliation.
• Actively participate in the setup of the crew’s Health, Safety and Environment’s rules, policies and regulations.
• Ensure proper preparation and timely submission of prequalification for Contract bid and Bid tendering.
